    About me

1st Year: Greetings and Salutations. I've been a Christian for nearly 3 years. I grew up in the church but didn't see how much I needed Jesus' love and salvation until I was in my 30's. I have spent my adult life working in Security and have been a Prison Officer for the last 7 years. I am married to my amazing wife Vee. We have a beautiful newborn son Tamanda. I continue to grow in my passion for sharing the incredible news of God's love and what He did for us through Jesus (John 3:16) 2nd year: Hello again!A year in, my son is now running and jumping and talking and running and jumping and running... He is amazing. I love being a dad. It was a crazy first year but worth every moment of it. It was a privilege to be a part of a wonderful Bible believing church and seeing God change lives in so many ways. Thank you Jesus! I don't know where God is leading me and my family but I am sure of this, we will serve our awesome God in whatever capacity He gives us and continue to share the gospel of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

    About my Apprenticeship

1st Year: I knew I wanted to be involved in Christian ministry but didn't know where to start. My wife and I prayed about opportunities in Ministry to become available. This lead me to a Christian mission trip to Myanmar (formerly Burma) with three Australian pastors to conduct a Bible convention in the mountains of Chin state with the local Christians. It was amazing to see God working in the lives of another culture and a great start to see the importance of sharing the Gospel. When I returned to Australia, while dealing with family events, the opportunity to be an MTS Apprentice came up and here I am.In the Bible it talks about being ready and equipped to serve God, "But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the Holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work."‭‭2 Timothy‬ ‭3:14-17‬ ‭NIV. ‬‬This apprenticeship will be the building block to study and grow as a Christian, so I can go and minister in whatever capacity God has planned for me. And I am grateful and willing to serve our Heavenly Father wherever and however he sees fit. "Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven."Matthew 6:10 2nd Year: During my first year, I had the privilege of serving in a lot of ministries. I ran a creche class on Sunday mornings, a chaplain for Boys Brigade, involved in our Mens 60+ group, cooked and assisted in our Men's and Women's breakfast events, a leader in our Christianity Explored and Just for Starters classes, read the Bible one to one with a number of men and lots of prayer. I had the opportunity to lead Sunday services, preach sermons and speak at different churches and events. It was a wonderful and humbling experience. Ministry has a very profound way of showing you how holy God is. And how sinful we are. Which makes God's grace through Jesus shine brighter and brighter. It makes Bible verses like Romans 5:8 lead you to fall on your knees in love, repentance, hope and worship. ("but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.")This second year will carry over all of my ministries with the main focus in disciplining. As this is the last year of the apprenticeship, my aim is to transition my roles for others to take over. I pray the Lord will provide the people needed and give me the wisdom to train them lovingly and encouragingly to the glory of God.

    Prayer Points

1st Year: First of all, thank you for your prayers. Please pray for wisdom and guidance in my life. Not only in my Apprenticeship and training in Ministry but in my roles as a family member, a husband, a father, a friend and a brother in Christ.Thank you again for your love, prayer and support.May the love of Jesus overflow in us and the people we meet. 2nd Year: Please pray that every day I will grow in a deeper knowledge of our Heavenly Father. Pray for boldness to continue to share the gospel of Jesus Christ and fearlessly preach God's Word. That I will be a loving husband and father keeping Christ at the centre of my family. That I will trust in the Lord for all our needs and future in serving Him. And as above, that the Lord will sustain His ministries once I have finished the apprenticeship.Love to you all in Christ. Andy
