    About me

As a child, I was brought up in a Catholic family and was because of that I always believed in God, but I didn't really know or understand the gospel. It wasn't until a teenager that I truly understood that I was a sinner, and that Jesus had died to save me. I have been married to Adam since 2012 and live at home with 2 dogs, a cat and A LOT of chickens. Adam and I have been attending Rosemeadow Anglican Church for the last couple of years, and now I feel privileged to do my apprenticeship there as well. I'll be working on two main ministries while I do MTS. I'll be running our playtime group for parents and children ages 0 - 5 and I'll be working a portfolio called Meet, Greet, Integrate which is how, under God, we can help newcomers connect in to church and become regular members of our congregations.

    About my Apprenticeship

    I went back to my first lesson of scripture today for term 2. I teach K-2 at Woodland Road Public School. Today we looked at the Jesus' death and resurrection on the cross. Some of the kids knew little bits about Jesus and how he died and rose again but it was an awesome opportunity to be able to share the gospel with the children. The children responded well to the story and seemed to have a good understanding by the end of the lesson that Easter is not just for chocolate! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - I started Vocational Bible College back yesterday which was really good. It was nice to see everyone and get back into God's word after the school holidays. As a part of my assessments I have to write and give two sermons, one on an old testament passage and one on a passage of my choosing. I'm not a very confident public speaker so I am feeling quite nervous at the prospect of doing them. Not quite sure when I'll be doing them, but they will have to be done at some point in term 2. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Membership is coming along well so far. I finished visiting different churches for the moment and am now with God's help coming up with a plan for what we can do in this space at Rosemeadow. Haven't got a full idea of what we are going to do yet, but continued prayed for wisdom would be good :)
