REPORTING FAQs

DONOR CONFIDENTIALITY

MTS does not provide details of how much a donor gives, directly to an apprentice, however  MTS does provide all details of donations received in support of a scholarship to the apprentice's trainer each month.    Whether the trainer passes onto the apprentice details of how much a specific donor gave, is up to the trainer and would normally reflect the culture of the church.

MTS also provides a report to the trainer each month which is designed for him to pass onto the apprentice which provides a summary position of funding for the apprentice's scholarship and also lists the names and contact details of persons supporting your scholarship (but no amounts).

If a donor gives anonymously, the donor’s name on the reports that MTS provides to a trainer is suppressed and simply listed as “Anonymous” - so the donor’s identity does remain confidential on all reports that MTS provides to a trainer.

WHAT REPORTING DO I RECEIVE ABOUT DONATIONS MADE?

MTS provides a full suite of reports to the apprentice's trainer each month, namely:

        1) Scholarship Overall: Adds the total of Donations Received to the value of future Recurring Donations to determine if there id any shortfall in full funding for the scholarship.

        2) Scholarship-to-date: Compares the total of Donations Received  to date with the donations which would have been received if the scholarship were funded evenly each month over the life of the scholarship.  Any shortfall indicates that the funded for scholarship is currently in deficit.

HOW SHOULD THESE REPORTS BE INTERPRETED

The Financial Summary for an Apprentice report provides that same data as the Financial Summary report for a single scholarship.   For an example and detailed explanation click here
